Castles of King Ludwig II and the Musical Fairy tale King Ludwig II of Bavaria. King Ludwig II known as the “fairy tale King”, had a passion for beauty and building. He died under mysterious circumstances, his legacy and legend live on, however and are currently portrayed in a sparkling musical. It is currently being performed in a new theatre dramatically located across the water from legendary Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. The vast production has 29 sets, a cast of fifty and a full orchestra. It´s performed in German with English subtitles.
